lucky.
I constantly try to remind myself how lucky I am. One of the ways I do that is by photographing my experiences. When I return to a photograph I am immediately reminded of the time and place, and I am grateful that most of my life has been spent in beautiful situations. This week was exceptionally wonderful. All of my shots capture the essence of the moment at hand- the richness and depth that was present, the meaningful conversations, the love between friends and family. This was just one of those great weeks that are filled with wonderful people, lots of laughter, long lazy meals consisting of all my favorite foods, and breathtaking surroundings.
Need I say more?
the perfect chocolate chip cookie.
Hot out of the oven...moist, chewy, chocolatey, gooey, with hints of crunch from the walnuts.
It's a freak of nature!
In the time it took us to order our cookies and grab a seat on the building stoop next door, dozens of cookie lovers had made a beeline for the door of Levain's Bakery and many couldn't hide their smiles before entering because the smell of chocolate and sugar baking hits you on the sidewalk!
The scene resembled a procession of drug addicts lining up for their morning fix.
I understand how they feel.
These cookies are truly unbelievable.
OLIVIA AGREES.
