Someone told me that I look like Zooey in 500 Days of Summer and now I'm obsessed with finding photos of her that bear a slight resemblance to me. Forgive me for being conceited. (*editors note: none of the above actually look like me, but wouldn't that be fantastic?)

A Booth of Books:

In a small suburb of England the townspeople purchased an old photo booth for 1 pound and revamped it into the world's smallest library. It works like this: you bring a book and swap it for someone else's used book from the precious collection. The smallest library in the world contains about 100 used books and also hosts a variety of movies and music CD's. Quite possibly the most ingenious idea ever.

I'm exhausted! It could be my rise and fall times (6:30AM-1AM), or the fact that I've given up drinking coffee on a daily basis and I'm not used to relying on good ole' adrenaline for energy. I've been getting alot done recently, but there is always, always, more to be done.

I hate when people complain, so please don't take this as me being a whiner. No way, in fact, I am enjoying all the to-do's because I'm actually accomplishing more and pushing myself to new limits each day to get things done. When my schedule isn't packed I get extremely bored. Sometimes I debate with myself the importance of self-indulgence in the place of productivity, because at this particular time in my life it seems selfish to spend too much time worrying about me when I have the rest of my life to figure out. That is a deliberate oxymoron, yet this is the way my brain works.

Just booked my flight to Copenhagen!!! I could not be more thrilled to be visiting one of my best friends in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I still have over a month of planning before I depart...more time to scour Copenhagen Street Style for outfit-planning ideas! Over Skype this morning she assured me we would be stuffing our faces with frankfurters and liverpaste (a local delight?) so I'm preparing for all that goodness.

It may seem like I keep writing posts about food, but I'm not. I just have to share my current obsession. GRAPEFRUIT. My roommate actually witnessed me cooing while slicing thin triangles in a round half of ruby red deliciousness yesterday morning.

Coco Sumner is one of those effortlessly cool people that just happened to spawn from a famous rocker and his beautiful muse. She has a roughness to her voice that reminds me of her dad. Her band, I Blame Coco, has a grunge-rock vibe that is like a mix between Wavves and U2. Listen to "Caesar".

Suzanne Vega's "Luka" has always been one of my favorite songs. I just saw the video for the first time and it's equally as awesome. I love her shifty eyes through the entire thing until she finally makes eye contact at the end. Not to mention her bowler hat is very cool.

Food: Impossible.

As a general life rule one should never go to the grocery store hungry. It's just stupid.

However, after scrounging the kitchen shelves and finding only lentils and a can of chicken broth (lentil soup anyone?) I knew it had to be done.

Once I arrived and ventured down Aisle 4 of the East Falls Acme, however, my appetite was supressed by the sight of all the non-food.

Non-food is what people think is food, but which is actually just chemically enhanced, modified, and genetically reengineered components of previous versions of actual agricultural products.

This includes all the favorites: Kellogs corn flakes and Tostitos corn chips, and oh man, even those delicious Sargento string cheeses that I used to enjoy peeling and popping into my mouth so much.

Today, I cringe. Walking the rows of colorful cardboard box-lined aisles I was perturbed to realize I was incredibly limited to the foods I could actually trace back to the source. I stuck to the produce section, where everything is more expensive than its production-line poser sister and brother in the frozen food section.

Even more annoying is that the vegetables and fruits I bought aren't even locally grown and probably traveled in the back of a truck for no less than 1500 miles to reach my suburb of Philadelphia. Grrr.
