While in Nasvhille I was lucky enough to get to attend the Nashville Film Festival to see my friend Ruth Somalo's film "Till You're Told to Stop" - a brilliant documentary Ruth directed tracking James Blunt's rise to fame and success. Nearly five years of touring, writing, recording, and hard work are condensed into an hour and twenty minute montage of rare behind-the-scenes goofs with James and his band along with amazing footage of his rapid rise to fame. The film sheds light on what makes him one of the most impressive and underrated musicians in the business today. I have a newfound appreciation for Blunt as a person and a musician after seeing this film, and I urge everyone to see this if they get the chance! It exposes us to a world of honest dedication to one's craft and a remarkable story of unstoppable success. Best of all, James Blunt is actually one of the most down-to-earth, charismatic, and talented people to walk across a stage!...if you've tossed him aside as just another one-hit-wonder, take a listen again and know that he deserves every ounce of recognition he has gotten. Thanks to Ruth, his truest self is shown to the world through this beautifully created work of art. Congrats, Ruthie!
