Though I fiercely hate smoking and cigarettes , there is an element of intrigue that the vice brings to a photograph. Ever the alluring prop, I can't help but feel it adds a level of aesthetic to an otherwise generic photo. The act itself gives the subject a rebellious character.

And that, I hate to admit, is cool.

I'm sure every smoker out there is thinking, duh.
