Dog Meets World

These pictures are worth a thousand words. 

When my sister told me about the charity her friend Austin and his mother started I was so impressed by the grassroots success of it all and thought it would do some good to share it with you. The charity is called Dog Meets World and came into being when Carolyn Lane began bringing a stuffed animal dog on her travels with her to remind her of her real dog at home. Propping the dog up in front of sights she visited, she soon got a lot of attention from people, especially children. When she started asking children to pose with the dog she realized many of them had never even had their picture taken. Thus the idea for Dog Meets World was born.

With a simple photograph and stuffed animal the charity has given children all over the world a sense of self and the gift of something they can truly cherish. Read the full story of this really great cause at their website.
