"Darlin' you are the only exception."
With the year's token romantic holiday fast approaching, things are getting mushy around here. The jewelry commercials don't bother me, and its not even about the pink and red flowers that stare at me everytime I walk into the grocery store, or everyone's sudden obsession with heart-shaped candy boxes, nope. I'm not a V-day hater, I just happen to find it strange that people use one day to send out all of their love notes in a publicized, obnoxious fashion as if to insult every single individual in the vicinity. Lets just take this for what it is: another scam to increase Hallmark card sales. I do have to mention, though, that Hallmark's new commercials get the job done. Yesterday, I watched one where a greeting card writer talked about how her pain from suffering a miscarriage inspired her to write a card expressing her loss. I would be lying if I said I didn't cry.
Don't be surprised if I start posting sappy love poems and cute photographs. I'm a hopeless romantic regardless of the day, month, or year.
